Official NDP policy is pro-abortion. In addition, the NDP constitution officially recognizes, embraces and establishes a special "committee" devoted to LGBTQ ideology.

On June 2, 2014, during a previous election cycle, Ms. Holland responded to a Tweet regarding views on abortion by Tweeting the following statement: "I am in support of a women's (sic) right to choose. Full stop."

Mr. Hsu if a former federal Liberal Member of Parliament. As an MP, he refused to sign CLC's election questionnaire. In a 2011 conversation with CLC leaders, MP Hsu said he was personally opposed to abortion but would not use his leadership role in the federal government to fight it and would not vote for any measures for the protection of human life. He said 'climate change' and poverty are his concerns, not the killing of in-the-womb babies, even in his local hospital. In 2012, he voted against pro-life Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being based on the preponderance of evidence from modern medical science. Hsu also voted in favour of the reckless, transgender 'Bathroom Bill' (C-279) which puts girls and women at risk by creating a counterfeit, legal 'right' for men to access women's bathrooms and changerooms.
